Coming Full Circle

It has certainly been a long time! The last time I photographed a performance at Chicago's Soldier Field, The Rolling Stones were performing, Mick Jagger was still married to Bianca and their Some Girls album had not yet been released. You can pretty much imagine how I felt when presented with the opportunity to cover Taylor Swift this past Friday!

A few differences. First time around I arrived at sunrise and photographed the building crowd and event preparations hours before the Stones took the stage. I also had full stadium access. This time around, I was given two songs for photographing Taylor Swift and had to leave the photo area. not that it was a complete surprise. We were provided with enough pertinent information to be able to bring proper equipment and prepare for key events to watch for during our allotted time.

However, it was still a rush just like the last time after a four decade absence!
